Shipping Policy

1. Overview
At The Home Co, we work with reliable logistics partners to ensure your order reaches you safely and on time. This policy outlines everything you need to know about how we ship your orders โ from the moment you click "Place Order" to delivery at your doorstep.
We currently ship across India. All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
2. Order Processing
Once your order is placed and payment is confirmed, it enters our processing queue:
- Processing Time: 1โ2 business days (Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays)
- Orders placed on Sundays or public holidays will begin processing the next business day
- Orders placed before 12:00 PM IST on a business day are typically processed the same day
- You will receive a dispatch confirmation via email and/or WhatsApp once your order has been handed over to the courier

3. Delivery Timeframes
After dispatch from our warehouse, estimated delivery times are:

Note: Delivery timeframes are business days only (MondayโSaturday). Sundays, national holidays, and extreme weather events may cause delays. During peak sale periods (Diwali, New Year, etc.), please allow an additional 2โ3 days.
4. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges, if any, are calculated at checkout based on your delivery pin code, order weight, and applicable promotions. The final shipping charge is displayed before you confirm payment.
- Shipping charges vary by order value and pin code โ see checkout for the exact amount
- We periodically run free shipping promotions โ subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on social media to stay updated
- For returns due to our error (defective or wrong item), reverse shipping is fully free โ we bear the cost
5. Order Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number and a link to track your shipment in real time. This will be sent to your registered email address and WhatsApp number.
How to Track Your Order
- Use the tracking link provided in your dispatch confirmation email or WhatsApp message
- Alternatively, visit the courier partner's website and enter your tracking/AWB number
- Tracking updates may take 12โ24 hours to appear after dispatch โ this is normal
Not Receiving Updates?
If your tracking hasn't updated in more than 48 hours after dispatch, or you have concerns about your delivery, please contact us at support@thehomeco.in with your order number. We will coordinate with the courier on your behalf.
Need help with your delivery? Email us at support@thehomeco.in with subject: "Delivery Update โ [Order Number]" and we'll get back to you within 1โ2 business days.
6. Failed Delivery & Non-Delivery (NDR)
A delivery attempt is considered failed if the courier is unable to reach you at your address. Common reasons include:
- Customer unavailable at the time of delivery
- Incorrect or incomplete address provided at checkout
- Customer not reachable on the provided phone number
- Access restrictions at the delivery location
What Happens Next
- The courier will typically make up to 3 delivery attempts on consecutive business days
- After failed attempts, the package is held at the courier facility for 5โ7 days
- If unclaimed, the order is returned to our warehouse (RTO โ Return to Origin)
RTO / Returned Orders
If your order is returned to us due to failed delivery:
- For prepaid orders: A refund will be initiated after deducting forward and return shipping charges
- For COD orders: No refund is applicable; re-delivery may be arranged upon request with prepaid payment
- To reattempt delivery, contact us at support@thehomeco.in โ additional shipping charges may apply
Please ensure your delivery address and phone number are accurate at checkout. We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect information provided by the customer.
7. Lost or Damaged in Transit
Damaged Packages
If your order arrives with visible external damage to the packaging, please:
- Take photos/video of the sealed, damaged package before opening it
- Open the package on camera (unboxing video strongly recommended)
- If the product inside is damaged, contact us within 2 days of delivery at support@thehomeco.in with proof
Transit-damaged products are eligible for a full return and refund as per our Return & Refund Policy.
Lost Shipments
If your order shows as delivered but you haven't received it, or tracking has not updated in more than 5 business days after dispatch:
- Check with neighbors, building security, or reception (common drop-off locations)
- Contact us at support@thehomeco.in โ we will raise a formal investigation with the courier
- Investigations typically take 7โ10 business days; if the shipment is confirmed lost, a replacement or full refund will be offered
8. Remote & Restricted Areas
Some pin codes in remote, hilly, or restricted areas may not be serviceable by our logistics partners. If your pin code is unserviceable:
- You will be notified at checkout before completing your order
- We will attempt to arrange alternative courier options wherever possible
- If no delivery option is available, we will inform you and process a full refund
Areas that may experience extended delivery times: Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, North-East India (Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam), Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep.
9. International Shipping
We currently do not offer international shipping. All orders are delivered within India only. We hope to expand our delivery to international destinations in the future โ subscribe to our newsletter to be notified when this changes.
